Q Which licenses require a Japanese translation?
A Drivers from Taiwan, Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Slovenia, and Monaco need to carry their license along with an official Japanese translation (not self-translated). The translation must be issued by JAF or the respective embassy.
Q Is a copy of my passport acceptable?
A Yes, but please bring both the original and a copy. You may be required to submit a copy at the time of rental.
